Day 7 - On our way to Verona

We used the morning of day 7 for extra sleep. we knew we got a very long drive back to Verona's airport ahead of us,

so we gathered our strengths.

After we checked out of Natale, we wandered through the shops for souvenirs a little and started our long drive back.

Since we had time to spare, we've let our GPS guide us norther than Cortina, so we had the chance to witness the north in all of its glory. We drove till everything was covered with snow, a dream come true for the both of us (since we hardly

ever seen snow in Israel).

Time after time we took little breaks, and got out of the car to behold the marvelous landscapes of the Dolomites, and also things as marvelous as this one -

One of the most important tips we can give you is - if you're driving from up north to Verona / Lake Garda, do yourselves

a favor and drive through the toll-road of A22, that's the road that connects the far north with the Milano-Verona-Venice line.

Driving through A22 is nothing like any drive you've had in your life, and you'll realize very quickly why it is referenced as

"the most beautiful road in Europe". mostly consisted of three lanes on each direction (sometimes two), A22 goes through enormous mountains, the most massive we've ever seen, and through gorgeous endless green fields.

After almost 5 hours on the road (remember, we did a pretty big circuit further than Cortina), we still had time to spare till our flight, so we returned to good-o'l Verona, for a little shopping and one last taste of Italian Pizza!

From the historic center of Verona to the airport, you have a 15 minute drive.

And here's us, still can't believe that's it's really over, minutes before we flew back to Israel -

Goodbye Italy, it's been a delight, and we sure as hell going to comeback! Arrivederci!
