Our trip vision

From the first place, our trip was designed as a 7-day trip that includes

the very best of northern Italy - starting from Milano to Venice, and then all

the way up to the Dolomites, at Cortina D'Ampezzo.

the trip was built on popular site-seeing, with a touch of exploring the tourist-less locations, and most importantly - romantic atmosphere (is there a better place?! and

no, don't say France...).

Weather

We traveled in mid-October, and for our taste - the weather of September-October

is an ideal weather for a trip on this side of the country, since it's not hot & not very cold,

what makes your long walks through Verona or Venice very pleasant and effortless.

The days usually start very grey and cloudy, but later on the sun comes out and washes

you with light.

"Spending the night"

We mainly booked a 3-stars hotels and B&B's (Bed and Breakfest) since we

wanted a nice comfortable bed with a good breakfest. In our opinion you

should rather spend your euros on tourism, transportation and food than on fancier hotels. You hardly be at the hotel anyway, and for good reason - there's so much to see, and so little time!

Transportation

Since we wanted to explore the Dolomites, it was pretty necessary to rent a car. Not that you can't manage with the railway or buses, the transportation arrangement on the line of Milano-Verona-Venice are very comfortable, but again - 7 days is a very short stay in order to see a large part of the north. A car will save you a lot of time, and lets be honest - driving in the higways of Italy is an experience you won't forget (more on that later!).

And after all that said, lets start the tour shall we?
